The agent of Souleymane Coulibaly says Tottenham beat some of Europe's biggest clubs to land the Ivorian.
Spurs swooped for the former Siena teenage striker last week after a starring performance in the U20 World Cup with Ivory Coast.
Emanuele Ricci told Sportitalia: "In Europe, the English team moved quicker than the biggest Italian clubs for him.
"Coulibaly has done some important things and he attracted the interest of Tottenham, which convincingly managed to take him away."
