The agent of Barcelona midfielder Alen Halilovic says a move to Sporting Gijon is close.

Halilovic is set to join Sporting on a season-long loan.

“The player has already decided and in principle, it's all quite clear but in football, if until the contract is signed, nothing is decided but there is an agreement between both parts and Alen sees this as a good opportunity for him to spend this season playing in Gijón," Zoran Stojadinovic told La COPE.

“Unless there is any unforeseen problem, and I cannot see there being any setbacks, he'll sign on Friday – not before because I will be away and unable to travel until that day."
