Sampdoria goalkeeper Sergio Romero is in talks with Liverpool. The Daily Express says the Reds are in talks with the agent of Argentina international Romero, and are confident of completing a deal in the January transfer window.
Romero is keen to test himself in the Premier League, and he could get his chance at Anfield as Brendan Rodgers grows weary of Simon Mignolet.
The Belgian was at fault again during the 2-2 midweek draw against Ludogorets in the Champions League, and is set to face the axe from the starting XI should Romero complete his proposed transfer to Merseyside.
