Agent reveals Juventus want Palermo's Amauri

Italian agent Vincenzo Morabito, when asked if Juve were interested in his client Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, the Ajax striker, replied: "Juve is preparing a bid for June to form an attacking pair composed of Amauri and David Trezeguet. The Brazilian will cost more than Huntelaar - £17 million - but has the advantage of knowing the Italian league well and Juve cannot wait, it must win now."

Juve sports chief Alessio Secco told La Stampa: "If the price comes down to £10 million, we can do business."

Secco hopes to drive down the cash component by offering Palermo players in part-exchange for Amauri. Sebastian Giovinco, Marco Marchionni and Paolo de Ceglie have all been mentioned as potential makeweights.
