Genoa are chasing Siena star midfielder Houssine Kharja.

Kharja is being lined up as a replacement for Thiago Motta and his agent, Beppe Galli, confirmed: "Genoa is a team that follows him very closely, after the second year at Siena he has confirmed his qualities.

"Sometimes Italian clubs are impatient, I do not understand why he has not broken through before now."
