The agent of Mario Balotelli has an offer from Napoli for the Liverpool striker.

Napoli coach Rafa Benitez, in the market for a new striker, wants to take Balotelli on a six month loan.

Il Messaggero says Balotelli's agent, Mino Raiola, is this week speaking with Liverpool about releasing the striker for a return to Italy.

The arrangement could be for a straight loan, with both Balotelli and Liverpool re-assessing the situation at season's end.

Only last week, Reds boss Brendan Rodgers warned Balotelli could be limited to a bench role for the remainder of the campaign.
