The agent of Napoli striker Duvan Zapata has hit out at Rafa Benitez.

Benitez left Napoli this week and has been confirmed as new Real Madrid coach.

Fernando Schena told Radio Crc: "I am not happy and neither is Duvan. It's up to the Coach who to play, but what happened is very strange.

"In the final game the team needed another striker, someone who would be decisive in the box, but Duvan was not given the chance.

"It seemed like an insult to me and we cannot explain what happened this season. Duvan trained well, the club was happy with his progress, but he was allowed very few minutes on the field.

"It's absolutely incredible that Benitez is now at Real Madrid, especially in the light of his last season with Napoli.

"As for Duvan's future, the club doesn't have any idea who the next Coach will be or even the next director of sport, so we must wait before making a decision. He has many offers.

"I can say for certain that if Benitez had stayed, Duvan would certainly have left. The Coach gave him no chance to show his potential."
