The agent of Riccardo Meggiorini has confirmed the interest of Cagliari in the Cittadella striker.

Luca Pasqualini said: "For the time being, there's little talk. No direct contact has been made, but the fact remains that Cagliari need a substitute for Robert Acquafresca and could be one of many interested in signing Riccardo.

"In his league he has so many fans, he is having another major season in Serie B, confirming the good he had done the previous year in Serie C1."
