The agent of AS Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman has played down talk of a move to Manchester United.
Cheil Dekker insists Strootman wants to be playing Champions League football next season.
"The player won't be back before the autumn," Dekker said. "Will Van Gaal want him? Maybe, but he's at Roma and he has had a fantastic season.
"There has been nothing between Roma and Manchester United, nor between Strootman and Van Gaal.
"There is speculation, but that doesn't mean it's about Manchester United. Roma don't want to sell him and it would be difficult to leave a fantastic club who have supported him during an injury.
"He is happy where he is and he wants to stay and play in the Champions League next year."
