The agent of Roma midfielder Julio Baptista has confirmed the interest of River Plate.

The Brazil international is a target for River presidential candidate Alfredo Caselli.

Juan Figger revealed: "I've had a good relationship with Alfredo Caselli for a long time. We talked about players that could be of interest for the club.

"I've spoken with my clients and they're aware of the interest."
