The agent of Sampdoria midfielder Pedro Obiang has confirmed interest from English clubs.

Reports suggest Manchester City are keen on the 20-year-old, while Chelsea and Tottenham have also been linked.

Jose Miguel Gonzalez told calciomercato.it: "There are only rumors about him.

"There was nothing with Napoli, we have not had any meetings and, as far as I know, Sampdoria have not received any concrete offers from any club.

"I know that many teams, including English ones, are interested in the player but he is very good in Genoa and he's happy.

"We have extended the contract for another season and now he has a four-year contract with Sampdoria.

"We'll see what happens in the summer."
