The agent of Cagliari defender Davide Astori has confirmed the interest of Everton.

Everton made a play for the Italy international in the final days of the summer market.

Claudio Vigorelli told Calciomercato.it: "Everton? He's really liked abroad, particularly in England, they often ask about him.

"Aside from that, Davide himself has always said he feels good in Sardinia and therefore now his only thought is to do well with his club."
