Agbonlahor implores Villas fans to get behind survival push

Aston Villa captain Gabby Agbonlahor hopes the clubs supporters stick with the team as they strive to ward off any relegation chance.

The West Midlands clubs currently sit 15th on the table, six points out of the drop zone, and Agbonlahor just wants the fans to stay strong through this difficult time before trying to refresh things in the summer.

"There have been some good times at the club and hopefully the fans will stick with us through the not so good times," said Agbonlahor.

"Any of the players will admit it has been a tough season and the fans as well compared to what they have been used to in recent years - trips to Wembley, trying to get into the Champions League.

"If you look at the players we lost in the summer (including Ashley Young and Stewart Downing ) it was always going to be a season of transition.

"But I think the good times will come back to Villa."
