Manchester United are ready to hand three players new contracts after Chris Smalling penned terms yesterday.

Smalling has followed Michael Carrick in inking a new contract with United.

The Telegraph says United will now seek to secure agreements with David De Gea, Ashley Young and Phil Jones.

United are also planning a major spending spree this summer, as they seek to mount a more sustained Premier League title race next season.
