Former Holland coach Dick Advocaat has slammed Tottenham over their management of Vincent Janssen.

Spurs are seeking a buyer for the former AZ striker this month.

"I really wonder why Tottenham bought him at the time," Advocaat told Voetbal International.

"You spend a fortune for a new striker, you barely give him the chance and you want to get rid of him after a year. I do not get it.

"After his long absence at the highest level, I find it difficult to say what he should aim for now. I think that Germany is maybe good for Vincent."
