Former Sunderland chairman Niall Quinn has pleaded with owner Ellis Short to re-appoint Dick Advocaat.
The former Zenit Saint Petersburg and Rangers has safely guided the Black Cats to Premier League survival since taking over from Gus Poyet in March and now former player Quinn feels he is certainly the right man to provide some stability on Wearside.
"The style is important to a place like Sunderland," Quinn said on Sky Sports.
"As much as Gus Poyet tried to get Sunderland playing a passing game, that pressure didn't come off and the Sunderland fans were angry about it.
"They want to see heart, they want to see passion. This guy could be the guy to stabilise the club."
