AZ Alkmaar boss Dick Advocaat is of the belief that AS Roma's Kevin Strootman will soon be joining a top club in Europe.
Advocaat managed the 23-year old Dutch midfielder at PSV Eindhoven last season so is well-versed to suggest that he will one day play for a club such as Manchester United with who he was linked in the recent summer transfer window.
"Strootman is a pure professional," Advocaat told Algemeen Dagblad.
"It frankly surprised me that he did not get to the absolute top last summer and was on the side a little.
"I do not think he will stay at Roma that long. If Kevin is at this level, he will be plucked away.
"And then it will be a team of the calibre of Manchester United."
