West Ham United goalkeeper Adrian was stunned by their 4-0 FA Cup thrashing by West Bromwich Albion.
Adrian offered his apologies to the 5,500-strong travelling army as West Ham rarely looked like responding.
"Of course we are really disappointed. It's a really, really bad result," he admitted to whufc.com.
"They played well but we never had an opportunity to get back into the game. They deserved the win, and now we need to stand up and put in good performances in the league.
"Maybe the games we had this week had an effect, but we are professionals and need to be at 100 percent for every match.
"It broke the dream and we are very disappointed for the fans, so sorry to them. They travelled a long way to watch us and we played very badly.
"We need to forget this horrible game because we have a tough one against Tottenham next week."
