Adnan Januzaj scored his first goal for Manchester United U18s in victory over Crewe Alexandra.
Januzaj opened the scoring with his first Academy goal for the Reds, heading home from Charni Ekangamene's looping left-wing cross in the 28th minute. The score remained 1-0 until just past the hour mark when Jack Barmby, United's scorer in last Friday's defeat at Liverpool, unleashed a ferocious drive past Crewe goalkeeper Ben Garratt.
Gyliano van Velzen put United 3-0 up when he latched onto a fine pass from Kenji Gorre and shot goalwards with the ball rolling over the line after Garratt got a hand to it. Jack Rudge added a fourth five minutes later with another long-range strike following a lay-off by substitute Paddy McNair.
