Nigel Adkins is taking Southampton to a tribunal over his compensation claim.

The Daily Mail says Adkins, sacked two months ago, has failed to reach a compromise with chairman Nicola Cortese over the remaining three years on his contract.

Adkins made way for Argentine Mauricio Pochettino in mid-January but the League Managers' Association have so far been unable to strike a deal with the club over his severance.
