Adelaide United have sent youngster Jordan Elsey on loan to Kitchee FC.
The 19-year old centre-back will spend the rest of the season with the Hong Kong Super League club before returning to the Reds for the 2014/15 A-League season.
Reds boss Josep Gombau said it was a great opportunity for Elsey to get some experience with regular first team action.
"I believe Jordan will gain a lot by playing in Hong Kong in a good competition and also to have the opportunity to play in the AFC Cup will be invaluable for him and also for us," Gombau said of Elsey who will remain in Hong Kong until the end of May.
"He will come back with many senior games and good quality matches under his belt."
