Adelaide United are in hot pursuit of Derby County striker Mile Sterjovski. The Reds are currently trying to bolster the squad that made it to both the Asian Champions League and A-League finals last season and a quality striker is on the agenda.

It is believed that the 29-year old will be released by the Rams next month and the Reds could be set to pounce.

Adelaide assistant Phil Stubbins was recently in the UK on a scouting mission and said he had an extensive list of potential targets.

"Obviously coming back from the UK I've got quite a lengthy list (of players)," Stubbins said.

"But we've got 10 to 15 on the list. And we've got to ask 'can they do a job for you? Can we meet their demands?'"
