Adelaide ready for Bunyodkor challenge

Asian Champions League Semi-Finals begin on Wednesday night with Adelaide United taking on Uzbek outfit Bunyodkor. After being the first Australian club to make it to the final four, the Reds now have their sights firmly set on accounting for Bunyodkor, even though they boast some big names. Former Brazilian star Rivaldo leads the attack and the team is coached by Brazilian legend Zico. Adelaide does have the home ground in their favour for the first leg and will be a making a strong bid to get off to a good start and coach Aurelio Vidmar is hoping his side's good from can continue. "There is no pressure on us, absolutely none. We've got nothing to lose and everything to gain," he said. "It's a great opportunity and a really exciting time. It has been a fantastic ride and hopefully it can continue." The Reds will be without central defender Sasa Ognenovski but will regain vice-captain Lucas Pantelis. The match is at Adelaide's Hindmarsh Stadium and kick-off is at 7:30pm local time on Wednesday 8th October.
