Adam desperate to sign new Stoke City deal

Stoke City midfielder Charlie Adam has stated that he is keen on extending his stay at the Britannia Stadium.

Adam has been an integral part of the Stoke side since joining the club from Liverpool back in 2012.

However during the current campaign, Adam's involvement in the first team has been limited and with his contract at the Britannia set to expire in 2016, it has been claimed that the Scotsman could well leave in the upcoming summer.

To refute such claims though, Adam has stated that he is not thinking about departing Stoke and expressed hope of extending his current contact at the club.

The 29-year old told the Stoke Sentinel: "I love it here. Some people seem to think I'm going to go in the summer, but I'm not going anywhere.

"I've still got a year on my contract and I will see it out, and if the club wants to see me about a new contract then I will speak to them. I've been here nearly three years now and hopefully I can stay here for many more years yet."
