AC Milan star Ronaldinho has revealed how his brother, Roberto de Assis, almost signed for Torino.

"I have a very precise memory of my brother as a very young man coming to Torino on trial," he revealed in Tuttosport.

"You can imagine how my family felt, as it was about to change our lives. We would've all come to Turin with him, that was the deal with the directors, and I was set to join their youth ranks, as I already played football.

"However, Gremio did not release him. They convinced him to stay by giving the family a house that we all moved into and I also started playing for Gremio."
