AC Milan are hoping to agree a deal with Keisuke Honda for a January transfer.
The Japan international comes out of contract with Russian club CSKA Moscow in six months and Rossoneri vice-president Adriano Galliani has confirmed there are plans to bring him to the San Siro in the winter for free.
"I strongly wish that Honda could arrive at Milan during the January window," Galliani told a press conference.
Everton are also keen on 27-year old attacking midfielder Honda who has been told the CSKA will accept reasonable offer's for his services.
