AC Milan victory leaves Ancelotti disappointed

AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti admits he was disappointed with their performance despite defeating Empoli 3-1 yesterday.

Antonio Busce cancelled out Alexandre Pato's opener for Milan before goals in the final five minutes from Massimo Ambrosini and Kaka won the points for the visitors.

"Aside from the points, I didn't like Milan today," confessed Ancelotti. "We are still on the road to recovery.

"We can't seem to play with fluidity, but thankfully this was the last game in a packed fixture list and from tomorrow we will be able to train normally."

He added: "We struggled to get these three points, but it was very important to win today. It was also a fortunate round considering Fiorentina lost at Siena, but there's a long way to go yet.

"It is not something I've had to say in recent years, but we don't have to play Cup games and that can be an advantage."
