AC Milan veteran Mark van Bommel says Manchester United legend Paul Scholes is the dirtiest player the Champions League has seen.
The 35-year-old Dutch star will be suspended for AC Milan's quarter-final first leg following the 25th yellow card of his Champions League career at Arsenal last Tuesday.
Van Bommel said: "I'm just glad I'm not the man who has the highest amount of cards in the tournament - Paul Scholes has 35 yellows.
"I seriously don't think my record is bad. I have been in the Champions League for 12 or 13 seasons no w.
"I'm also angry they counted my red cards as double yellow bookings. It is a dubious record.''
