AC Milan regret missing out on Man City's Tevez

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani admits he is ruing missing out on Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez.

The Argentine made his long-awaited return to the pitch to have a hand in the winning goal as City came from behind to beat Chelsea 2-1 last night and Galliani was left to rue his club's inability to lure him to the San Siro during the January transfer window.

"I was in love with Tevez and yesterday I saw him returning to the field with Manchester City and I loved it so much," said Galliani who was able to sign Maxi Lopez on loan from Catania.

"When he entered the game changed.

"He drives me crazy, but some trains have to be taken in the exact moment which they pass, while fate decided otherwise.

"However we are delighted with what Maxi Lopez is doing with our shirt."
