AC Milan president Paolo Scaroni is confident Rafael Leao will be secured to a new deal.

Negotiations between the two parties have stumbled due to rival club interest and compensation owed to former club Sporting CP.

But Scaroni is confident director Paolo Maldini has the deal in hand.

He told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "They tell me that in Milan and with Milan he is very well and that he is motivated.

"I know Maldini is managing it and if he manages him, I'm calm."
