AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi admits he wants to sign Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli next month. Berlusconi insists his plan is no pipe dream.

"Balotelli? He is not a dream," smiled the former Italian Prime Minister. "I hope Milan continue like this. I am pleased that my visits fire up the squad, as my players say."

Barbara Berlusconi, who is on the Board of Directors, was also asked about Balotelli this evening at a different event.

"The transfer window only opens in January," she said.
