AC Milan are planning a surprise move for Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric.

Croatian agent Vlado Lemic was in Milan yesterday and spotted at Casa Milan, meeting with Rossonero directors.

It was thought Milan were holding talks with Lemic about Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren.

However, Sky Italia says another client of Lemic's was being discussed - Modric.

The Ballon d'Or winner came close to moving to Inter Milan a year ago and is now on the agenda of city rivals Milan. The one stumbling block is Modric's €12.5m salary.
