AC Milan are ready to make an opening bid for Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger. Corriere dello Sport says the Germany international is the 'Mr X' that Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has openly spoken about.
The Rossoneri are willing to rundown the clock to land Schweini, but are expected to test Bayern's resolve in the coming days just to see where they currently stand.
Intermediaries have told Milan they can land the midfielder for €35 million.
Galliani plans to sweeten the deal by including midfielder Mathieu Flamini in their offer.
