AC Milan aren't willing to wait until the summer to land Liverpool defender Dan Agger.
The Daily Mail says reports in Italy claim that Agger has a clause in his contract allowing him to leave Anfield for £7million at the end of the season.
But Milan are prepared to spend as much as £8.5m now to secure his signing as they look for replacements for ageing centre-backs Paolo Maldini and Alessandro Nesta.
The Denmark defender has been negotiating a new deal at Liverpool, but rejected the latest contract, thought to be worth £75,000 a week to the 24-year-old.
