AC Milan are locked in talks with Dinamo Zagreb for midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.
Calciomercato.com says Milan have tabled a €7 million offer for the Croatia international, which was rejected by Dinamo this week.
Brozovic is rated in the €10 million class by the Dinamo board.
The Rossoneri, which had a summer offer of €4.5 million for Brozovic rejected, remain keen on the youngster, but believe Dinamo's valuation is excessive.
Milan, however, know their best chance to sign the youngster is a deal in the next ten days, with the likes of Arsenal and Everton, which boast greater spending power, likely to move in the second-half of the January market.
