Cagliari goalkeeper Federico Marchetti is set for a massive pay-rise if he wins his move to AC Milan.

AC Milan chief Ariedo Braida met with Marchetti's agents this week and all signs are that a deal will be struck in the summer.

Marchetti is on-loan at Cagliari from Albinoleffe and will sign permanently with the Serie A minnows ahead of making the move to Milan.

The Rossoneri would prefer to do business with Cagliari and are willing to send goalkeeper Marco Storari and striker Alberto Paloschi there in part-exchange.

Meanwhile, Marchetti will be due a massive pay-day. The young shot-stopper is on only £60,000 this season and can expect a ten-fold increase should he get his move.
