AC Milan midfielder Nigel de Jong is out of the World Cup.
After victory over Mexico, Holland coach Louis van Gaal confirmed that De Jong was substituted early on in the match with a groin injury and his tournament may be over.
The substitution of Robin van Persie 15 minutes from the end was for tactical reasons, however, and he will be available for the quarter-finals.
