AC Milan legend Maldini back on agenda for Chelsea boss Ancelotti

AC Milan legend Paolo Maldini is being linked with a role at Chelsea. The Sun says following the sudden departure of Ray Wilkins, Ancelotti could now make a renewed bid to bring Paolo Maldini to the club.

The AC Milan legend was offered the job as Ancelotti's No 2 when the manager first arrived at Chelsea 16 months ago but turned it down.

Maldini might be persuaded to think again.

Another name in the frame is former Chelsea hero Gianfranco Zola.

The pair are believed to have made up after a falling out during Zola's playing days.

And ex-West Ham boss Zola would love the chance to return to the Bridge.
