Alessandro Nesta has given the clearest indication yet that this could be his final season with Montreal Impact.
The 36-year old Italian defender joined the Canadian club from AC Milan in July last year but suggests he could potentially pull the pin at the end of 2013.
"Maybe this is my last season, and I want to do very good," Nesta told reporters. "I want to win with this club, with these guys. And I think we can."
He added: "When you get a little bit older, you need to work more. Last season, I was two months on the beach, I worked for a week and then I played. It's not possible [to be at your best then]. I need to work hard every day. I feel good and this season, I think I'm going to do better than last year."
