AC Milan goalkeeper Diego Lopez has spoken of his time at Real Madrid under Jose Mourinho.

The Chelsea boss went with Lopez over Iker Casillas in his final season at Real.

"Mou talked with me, was very clear and gave me the strength to face what was coming. He said he had already wanted to sign me last season, and he trusted me. He is different, just with his eyes and his words, he takes you where he wants you to go.

"I knew what was going to happen. Mou made it very clear that he would see the best in training and he had nothing against Iker.

"I was not his pretty boy, I want to make it clear. Maybe Mou was the shield from criticism when people targeted me."
