AC Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati insists he can handle the challenge of new signing Marco Amelia.
Abbiati insists that he is unfazed by the club's decision to recruit Amelia from Genoa.
Abbiati said: "By now I am used to it. It's like this every year at Milan; some names always come out.
"In recent years, you have spoken about Lloris and Diego Lopez, then Storari arrived and this time Amelia.
"I won't ask anything of Max Allegri. I am not a bootlicker or a teacher's pet: I train and that's it. I want to be Milan's No 1. I work for that and I do so intensely at 100 per cent.
"I hear talk of a straight fight between me and Amelia and I don't agree: there is also Flavio Roma, who until a little while ago was in contention for La Nazionale."
