Alessandro Nesta is set to become the new head coach of the Montreal Impact according to reports.
Sports Illustrated suggests that the 37-year old Italian defender, who called time on his playing career after the playoff loss to Houston Dynamo last week, will step into the role which has been vacated by Marco Schallibaum.
Former Lazio, AC Milan and Azzurri star Nesta, who joined the Canadian club in July 2012, is expected to sign a deal to become the Impact's new head coach very soon.
