AC Milan defender Simon Kjaer says recovering from knee surgery is on track.

Kjaer suffered an ACL tear on December 1.

“Everything is on track, the rehabilitation is going well, I am very happy and feel positive about the progress," said Kjaer.

“Getting back onto the grass at Milanello is always a wonderful sensation. I will soon enter the phase where the knee will allow me to do everything and that's when I can start really improving physically.

“I don't doubt for a second that I will come back stronger. I am working on mobility, so the back, ankles, hips, knees, and I am choosing to see this as an opportunity to strengthen my whole body.

“I tell myself, today I have to do better than yesterday."
