AC Milan defender Paolo Maldini is proud by the prospect his No3 being retired at the end of the season.
The veteran will hang up his boots in June and said: "(Vice-president) Adriano Galliani told me that my jersey will be retired and no-one will wear the No3 of Milan again, until perhaps one of my two children has the opportunity and the willingness to wear it.
"It would be nice, it would be a nice piece history. I do not know the will of my children in their future, it may be that they say no or want another number. Being a very democratic family, it will be their decision."
