AC Milan are confident of a deal for Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko. Gazzetta dell Sport says Dzeko has already agreed personal terms over a £1.8 million-a-year contract with Milan after speaking with vice-president Adriano Galliani.
Galliani now intends to discuss a fee with Wolfsburg, whose defender Andrea Barzagli said: "Dzeko is as devastating as Toni."
New Milan coach Leonardo wants Dzeko to play with Ronaldinho and Pato in a three-man attack.
Dzeko said: "They [Milan] have always been my favourite club, right back to my days as a small boy, growing up in Sarajevo."
Meanwhile, Milan will use part of the £65 million raised from Kaka's sale to Real Madrid to land Sao Paulo midfielder Hernanes.
The Rossoneri hope to see off all competition for Hernanes, though will have to make a decision about finding a non-EU place in their squad for the Brazil international.
