AC Milan coach Pioli: Players know we must improve after disappointing week

AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli says the players know they need to fight-back against Lecce this weekend.

Milan drew with Roma last week after being 2-0 ahead before being knocked out of the Coppa Italia by Torino.

Pioli said: "We know that in the last two games we have not been able to achieve the results we were checking, and it is clear that we must all do a little more, something better.

"The group is strong when it is complete. Players like Zlatan, Simon and Florenzi are also strong in the leadership and credibility they have. Origi and Kjaer are there for tomorrow, Rebic comes with us because he could join the team from Sunday. The others I hope shortly.

"It is quite normal that there is a more critical eye towards us because we have won the Scudetto with excellent football and when this fails we point a little more finger, but that's what we want too... The criticisms lie because we did not bring home the results we had to bring home. The season is long, the championship won't end tonight either. Let's not forget how we won the Scudetto. Super Cup is an immediate goal, that's it."
