AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani says they cannot take next opponents Catania for granted.
The Sicilians will face Milan on the back of a famous derby victory over Palermo.
"We are still in the running, keeping up with Inter and Roma," explained Galliani.
"If we didn't beat Cagliari then we wouldn't be able to say we have still a chance to win. Instead we can now look forward to winning the last six games of this championship.
"With Catania it won't be easy though. They are a solid side and we will have to watch out because they can hit us on the counter.
"There are six games left, potentially 18 points for us. Something like 11 seasons ago we won all seven games to win the Scudetto.
"Let's hope our win against Cagliari was the first of seven "
