AC Milan chief Galliani turns 70: Retirement not on agenda

Adriano Galliani insists retirement is not in his plans at AC Milan.

In marking his 70th birthday today, the club's CEO and Vice-President has issued his confidence for the season ahead.

"I feel young and fit and I hope to continue for a long time," began Galliani on Radio Sportiva.

"Yesterday I spoke at length with Pippo Inzaghi, who sees the squad improving day by day.

"I am convinced that we will do well this season, everyone at the club believes so, because we have a very good Coach who is working hard.

"The concerns of the fans? I answer that they must have confidence, there needs to be an act of faith on the part of everyone that will be repaid.

"Highlights so far? There were so many beautiful episodes, one of the things I remember most is the purchase of Gullit, together with that of Van Basten, they were the first major purchases under President Berlusconi."
