AC Milan chief Galliani: Table doesn't matter now

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has played down expectations after they overtook Inter on the Serie A table this week.

"(Jose) Mourinho is right," said Galliani. "It doesn't count where you are now, but where you are in May. We have to be calm because we are Milan and it shouldn't surprise us to find ourselves in the upper echelons of the table.

"We gave the club and the players a very clear priority in June. Milan has to play and fight to win the title. But the importance is to fight until the end and to keep a different condition in the championship with respect to last year.

"The objective is the League and the players are to be bombarded by this every day. The team now has a ferocious concentration to reach the objective."
