AC Milan chief Galliani goes silent on betting raid

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani gagged himself yesterday from speaking with the media.

Galliani, like many inside Italian football, was shocked by the police raids in the morning as the latest betting probe cast its net.

After a Lega Calcio meeting yesterday, Galliani said: "Today I do not speak, a day of silence. It's a moment that saddens everyone. Bets? We talked at the meeting but there is a president of the League, who will explain how the meeting went."
